Sign up for the announcement mailing list
Every month we send out an email about a week before the meeting. The email is to serve as a reminder as to when and where the meeting will take place. The best way to avoid missing a meeting is to sign up now.

Join the CGDA discussion list
To communicate between meetings, we have a discussion list where we talk about meeting topics and discuss game development and community issues. You can choose to read posts online like a forum, or get email like a mailing list. This is also the best place to post job openings or look for opportunities.

Colorado game development companies
We have a list of game development companies and organizations located in or affiliated with Colorado. Check out the list or contact us to be added to it.

Game development links
We have a list of game development Web sites and organizations. Check out the list or contact us to be added to it.

Contact us
If you have a question about the group, please contact the group coordinator. If you would like to post about a job opportunity, or look for opportunities for yourself, the best thing to do is either attend a meeting, or post about it in the discussion list.

What is the Colorado Game Developers Association?
We are a group of individuals in the Denver/Boulder/Colorado Springs area that meet once a month to talk about the computer game industry and network with one another. We have been meeting regularly since 1987 and consist of professionals in the computer game industry, and others looking to break into the industry. Some of our members can be considered among the fathers of modern computer gaming.

What is the International Game Developers Association?
In May of 2001 the Colorado Game Developers Association affiliated with the International Game Developers Association (IGDA). The IGDA helps to foster information exchange and communication among professionals in the game development industry. One of the ways they do this is by supporting groups such as ours. There is a lot more information about the IGDA on their Web site.

What are meetings like?
We usually meet monthly on the first Monday of the month at 7 p.m. Attendance ranges from 20-80 individuals. We often meet in classroom space provided by schools such as Westwood and DeVry. Meetings usually consist of introductions of everyone in attendance, followed by a panel discussion or general discussions, and break-out sessions about any other game related topic. Lots of time is usually left over for general networking.

Who can attend our meetings?
Anyone interested in Game Development is welcome and encouraged to attend. Our meetings consist of both professionals and students. Often people from other industries attend to make contacts in the game development world, or to find out about game development as a future career path.
